A vigilante is a person who takes the law into their shake up turn over, when the law does not represent for the race. With this definition we can differentiate Batman is a vigilante. Batman does not work on behalf of the police, but incapacitates criminals and hands them over to the police. He fights crime without meaning to kill people. Therefore, I agree with Batmans method of crime fighting because he prevents lives from be lost.
The police atomic number 18 hardly seen on the streets of Gotham City; the crimes occur increasing instead of decreasing, and criminals ar not caught but are still roaming the streets. These criminals act with extreme violence without any remorse. composition the city of Gotham has an active government and police force, they are almost completely impotent before Batman. The government has failed its people and they need something (or someone) to protect and defend them. Batman does this.
In arrest 1, a predator attacks an old lady paseo home on a rainy day after having finished grocery shopping. The villain grabs the lady by the neck and takes her into a structure which looks abandoned, with the intentions of slitting her throat (Miller 1.27.3-9).



Another incident occurs later in Book 1, when two teenage females were on their way home walking after school and they decided to take a footling cut through an arcade. While passing through the stray short cut a group of mutants which are crowd members, surrounded the two young girls with the motivation to attack them (Miller 1.30-31). Fortunately, in both incidents the crime was not committed due to the preventative of Batman. If Batman would not go through intervened in these two incidents, three lives would have been lost.
