1. Introduction
Protists atomic number 18 an extremely large, widely diverse kingdom of organisms which includes what have traditionally been called protozoa, algae, and disgrace fungi. In general, Protists have characteristics of animals, or plants, or both. Protists are eukaryotic, in that the cell contains a nucleus, surrounded by an outer membrane. In general, protists include all unicellular organisms not included with the prokaryotes (protists). Additionally, there are no vascular protists in existence. Many protists are microscopic, with the one notable macroscopic variety being brown algae.
