village is a very immature character. hamlet manifestly loves Ophelia, but he is not mature enough to place her. hamlet should have trusted her, but didnt and this is what take to crossroadss madness. This is the same madness that causes Hamlet to manage senseless actions, such as when he killed Polonius. The madness Hamlet goes through is understandable when presented with the circumstances. Hamlet just cant get over his fathers death. He was fluid wearing black a year after his death. other situation that really bothers Hamlet is the fact that his mother married his uncle, Claudius, which makes one start asking questions. Hamlets overall maturity is low, especially for him to be a prince. In the play, Hamlet is very rude and sarcastic to provoke others, especially those that he should not have contumelyed. To insult Claudius, Hamlet often apply the marriage between him and his mother. Most of the time Hamlet would insult Claudius when no one was around. The first time Hamlet did insult Claudius in front of the others was when Claudius was supposed to have been cheering Hamlet up. Hamlet shot him down though. Another person Hamlet is very impolite to would be Polonius. He calls him a fishwife at one point in the play in front of Gertrude and Claudius.
